Problems of countering information terrorism

Abstract

Countering information terrorism requires the synergistic application of all national and international legal mechanisms, an integrative study of legal, communication, information and technical problems. Proposed Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Terrorist act”, to call it “Terrorism”. In Part 1 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, to supplement with the provision: “Information terrorism is acts that have the nature of special information operations, systemic disinformation and intimidation of the population, if such actions are committed with the aim of destabilizing public security, or provoking a public or military conflict, are punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with or without confiscation of property”
