The role of education and information literacy as means to enhance society’s resilience to disinformation

Abstract

Combating disinformation in the midst of war emerges as a crucial mission in Ukraine, with education playing a pivotal role in this effort. Higher education institutions, through increased collaboration with the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security, can significantly boost youth engagement in the information realm. Establishing partnerships with this center serves as a potent strategy to enhance resilience against disinformation, particularly on the global stage. These proposed measures are designed to empower Ukrainian youth to exert a more substantial influence on shaping the information landscape and actively addressing the informational challenges stemming from the ongoing conflict.
