Wikipedia in the war for historical consciousness

Abstract

The report is devoted to the use of the multilingual online encyclopedia Wikipedia by the Russian Federation as a tool for influencing the historical consciousness of its own population, the people of Ukraine and the world community. Wikipedia is an extremely influential means of mass communication, with very high webometric characteristics and a significant level of trust in the facts presented by most target audiences. This leads to the use of this resource by the Russian authorities as a tool in the information war against Ukraine, including the distortion of facts in articles on historical topics.
