The study is focused on the problem of opposing disinformation phenomena and processes in the modern era. Disinformation is considered as deliberate false information that threatens democratic foundations and public order. Particular attention is paid to the impact of disinformation phenomena on political and social processes, including demographic changes, national health, economic impact, and national security. The results suggest a comprehensive approach to countering disinformation, including monitoring, legal measures, increasing media literacy of the population, and creating credible content to fill the information space. As a conclusion, it is emphasized that an educated nation is a key factor in effective countermeasures against information and psychological actions and disinformation manifestations.
