Intersectoral cooperation in the field of nuclear security for effective disinformation countering in the international arena

The article explores Ukraine’s recent election to the IAEA Board of Governors, highlighting its significance in countering Russian narratives. It addresses the challenges of securing international positions, emphasizing the role of extrabudgetary funding and advocating for cross-sectoral collaboration in nuclear security. Categorizing disinformation, the article calls for a coordinated response. It proposes strategies for effective intersectoral cooperation, citing the successful model of the World Institute for Nuclear Security and Women in Nuclear Ukraine. The conclusion emphasizes countering the Russian lobby, increasing Ukraine’s international representation, and proactive measures against disinformation through lobbying and media campaigns.
